Hi!,

1. I have a L69, G, 305, 4bbl HO carb. Can I convert it to a fuel injection. If I may, what kind of fuel injection should I use.

2. Any one know any shop in NJ would do the swap.

1. Sure. Some kind of port injection OTHER THAN TPI would be best; a HSR or MiniRam specifically.

2. I haven't the vaguest clue about "shop". Not even sure what that is. Isn't that where women buy dresses and shoes and stuff?

Please check this "http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/shop" to get a detail understanding on 'Shop'. In USA word 'shop' are some time use as slang of any place where trade happens, and off course woman uses 'shop' to do trade too.

Sure...

You can kinda split up your project into 2 parts, mentally: the "mechanical" stuff like an intake manifold and throttle body and injectors and fuel pump and wiring; and, the "control system" which choices might include those ones you mentioned, FAST, Big Stuff, a stock LS1 computer, Megasquirt, EFI Connection, and so on. Needless to say the 2 have to be compatible with each other; but broadly speaking, once you get past that, neither one cares a whole lot what the other one is.

Then from there it's up to your own personal preferences, your own skill as a mechanic, and your own tuning skills.

I think the point about "shop" went completely in one ear and out the other. This kind of "conversion" will cost, just for the components, as much as the entire car you're doing it to is worth; then if you're like those Vette guys that "have" everything done, you'll then spend AT LEAST that much AGAIN paying somebody to do it for you. Then it'll spend 95% of its time for the next year or 2, until all the bugs are ironed out (if that point is even ever reached), sitting in their parking lot "waiting" for them to do some little tweeeeeeky kind of thing or other that might be totally trivial to a "DO-er", but a "PAY-er" can't or won't handle, over and over and over again, just like the Vette owners are always compaining about. This isn't the forum for help with that: around here, we're pretty much all the kind of people who do these kinds of things ourselves. You'll find there's a couple of entire forums on this site, one devoted to alternative "mechanical" systems, and one devoted to alternative "control" systems, that you can turn to for help. But, if you're planning on being a PAY-er instead of a DO-er, nobody around here really knows anything about that. Instead I'd suggest you use the legendary "Easy 2-Step Method": (1) sell car that isn't what you want, (2) buy car that already IS what you want. You'll come out FAR cheeeeper in the end with AHELLUVALOT less hassle and most likely a better finished product.

Selling car is not an options. I see your point and agree. I am not a proponent of 'after market quick fix'. Well, back to fixing carb.
