Running rough when warm

Car fires up and runs just fine even when dead cold. As soon as it reaches operating temp it has a consistent rough idle. I can step on the gas hard and all is well until it shifts into second then kinda seems to sputter/miss. It never dies, always starts just fine. I cleaned the carb thoroughly inside and out and didn't seem to help. Checked all vac hoses. snugged the carb mounting bolts. I even gutted the cat converter thinking it was plugged. This just all of a sudden started 2 days ago. I purchased the car earlier last week and it was fine. Even took it on a 80 mile trip at 75mph and got good mpg and everything. THe wires don't look bad but I have no idea when they were replaced. Motor has 131k on it with all records for parts and oil changes. No smoke or noises. This is on an 85 el camino with the lg4
