Fitting TPS on 650 DP
I'm just starting to set up my car with a Holley 650DP. I'm coming from a TBI setup that I did a lot of computer tuning on, so I'm going to keep my stock distributor setup in place and control the ignition timing that way. My question is, has anyone fitted a TBI TPS sensor onto a double pumper? Looking for a nice clean way of doing it. Thanks.

That sounds like a lot more trouble than its worth. You can tune a regular hei dist to what ever spark curve you want thanks the the aftermarket.

They make a TPS kit for holley carbs Summit and Jegs should both carry them.

Thanks, I'll look into it. If I can set this up correctly it should be a pretty cool system with a full 3d timing table to modify, not to mention the other controls built in, like knock retard, nitrous retard, highway mode advance, etc.
Hopefully it's a simple 0-5V sensor.

I would think it would be as they say it's made for the electronic shift transmissions and take a +5v input. I looked it up for you. It the holley kit appears to require an electric choke because the tps kit just remote mounts off the choke.

There are other companies out there that allow you to use it without chokes. Never used any of them but at least you have some options.

Re: Fitting TPS on 650 DP
Nice, thanks for the links. A little more expensive than I thought too. I've got to take a closer look at the few TPS sensors I have and see how hard it would be to just fab up a bracket and an arm that moves with the throttle shaft.
I did some searching too, it looks like Innovate motorsports has something too, it seems like it should be easy to just have the arm of the tps ride on something that moves with the throttle on the carb. Thanks for the help
