Can't figure out where this spring goes :(
E4ME. That's a dime next to it, to show the size of the spring. It's the only spring I have left for the rebuild and I don't see it on the parts diagram that came with the kit

if thats a dime that its next to then it would seem to be way to small and "tight" looking to be a fuel filter spring, i would look at your idle control screws everywhere... thats what it looks like to me anyway

There should be two #421 springs, one for each idle mixture screw.
I'd tend toward #211, the TPS spring.
