Hello There
I have having a problem with me carb ever since i got it. I have a 84 Camaro with a 350 engine and a comupter control carb.
I was wondering if i could adjust it to get more power out of carb, and if anyone can show me how (it is my first car that i got and don't want to mess it up)

Welcome to TGO.

There are two tech articles on this site that address adjusting the air valve tension for the secondaries and selecting better secondary rods and hangers. Pretty much the only practical things you can do to the qjet to improve it's performance.

Aside from the above, are you satisfied that the computer controlled system, carb and distributor, are functioning correctly? Normal tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, timing) recently done to the motor?

What particular problems are you having?

Yeah i am satisfied that everything is working alrite, just recently bought a ECM for my car and check out the other things such as the carb and distributor and they are working okay.
The problem that i would have that usually on somedays it would be running greats and on others it would even wanna run at all. I thought it was the gasket the it would of been damage, so i change it and it still has that problem. a friend of my recommened that i adjust the idle mixture needle but we both have no idea of how to adjust.

Intermittent carb problems are often caused by sticking choke linkage. Make sure the choke operates correctly, is 90 degrees straight up when the engine is warm and the linkage is clean and moves freely. If it looks dirty try a spray can of carb cleaner.

I had the choke check at and my father adjusted it to when it is warm it should be at 90 degrees. Also i clean up all the linkage and make sure that they moving freely. But now when i drive my car it usually feels like she is lacking some power. Before this happen she ran like awsome and when you would floor it you can feel the power as the spped would be increasing rapidly. But now it is not the same, I try to do a burnout but all she did was reap at a high rmp and do nothing. when i accelarate it she would lack in the begining and start to go slowly. my friend is telling me to adjust the idle mixture needle, but like i told him i just don't know when it is adjusted properly. Or should i also adjust somewhere else to get the performance the she use to have.

I have an 84 T/A that I did a 350 swap in. Were I you, I would take the car to a shop with a chassis dyno that has knowledge of tuning carbs. I am assuming you have a Qjet. I took mine in to have it tuned and it did wonders for how my car ran.

Also Ozz1967 a friend of mine took my car to the chassis dyno and they did a great job on getting my car tune properly
