Antenna plug not fitting into stock GTA Radio?

I can’t get the antenna to plug into the new/used GTA UT4 radio? The previous head unit was a pioneer CD player. I am wondering if I just need an antenna adapter?

Here are some photos:

Back of stock UT4 radio.

The antenna in the car that won’t fit.

I am wondering if the radio I just purchased is from an 89’ and that my car being an 88’ may have a slightly different antenna? I am not going to force it and break something. Any help on this is appreciated.

I also wonder of someone may have modified the male radio connector, it looks like a pro job on the pioneer install whenever that was, so maybe instead of using an adapter they just put a new connector on?

Solved with the help of another member Hessm70, looks like all I need is the mini barb adapter and I will be in business. Someone likely swapped out the antenna at some point.

www.crutchfield.com
Has the adapter you need.
I also needed the big pin to small pin adapter plug for the speaker wire plug.
I had to get both for my 84 when I swapped in a newer Delco am/fm/cd unit.
