Speaker trouble
Needing some advice/help on replacing the speakers in a 91 RS. I thought the factory speakers were blown but upon removing them they look in great shape. The new speakers I am installing are 3 way speakers. I took some jumper wires and hooked up the new speaker to the factory plug and the speaker turns on but isn’t very loud. I can adjust the volume all the way up and down and there is no change in how loud the speaker gets. I also notice that if I jiggle the connector the speaker cuts out/ gets static but that could be because it’s not correctly wired in. When I removed the panels there was some water from the T tops leaking but the plug for the speakers looked to be in good shape. Any body have any suggestions. Thanks!

Re: Speaker trouble
What are the ohm ratings of the old speakers vs the new speakers? They must be the same.

Re: Speaker trouble
Sounds more like the internal amp in your radio is bad. A speaker can look perfect and be blown btw. If you adjust volume and there is no change it's most likely the radio.
