Power Antennae - a couple questions

My car came with the power antennae. Mine is broken. I think it would work, being as the green wire is cut (which I believe provides power to the unit), to stop the constant spinning due to a broken strap. However, the mast is bent, and it would be easier for me to just replace the one I have.

This is what came out of the car.

Is this the factory antennae?

I saw this on ebay, and it looks different. I realize they could have changed over the years, but I want to make sure I don't buy an incorrect one.

Also, if that one won't fit properly, does anyone know where else I can look for a direct replacement?

The part number on the mast is 22071862 and on the body (base of mast) is 22062579. I searched that and nothing came up.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Power Antennae - a couple questions

i am having the same problem, can not find power antenna, purchased two so far, autozone and ebay, both are 5 inches too short .

return what I can. but need some help finding the right one. to fit in hole in fender, and no i do not want to cut inner fender.

as you can see in the photos the antenna hits the inner fender, original fender, If I found the right one I will post.

also could not find isolation relay so I just put jumpers on the pug ends and everything works fine so far, also circuit breakers instead of fusable link.

thanks...

Thanks a lot Manta. I found the same thing on eBay and it was $150. I'm gonna order it tomorrow.

Re: Power Antennae - a couple questions

Just replaced mine this spring with one from thirdgenranch;http://thirdgenranch.com/-strse-984/...nna/Detail.bok I had to cut the bracket off of my old one and weld it on the new one, but it works great when replaced.

Re: Power Antennae - a couple questions

do not buy from antenna_x on ebay, sounded great , but wrong antenna was sent, it is the center one in the photos,

returning it now.... but there is others on ebay , $200-280 for the correct ones. same as from the webs sites, modern day mucsle , ebay, third gen ranch , and repair place, i listed be low to help others.

was hoping for a 100 replacement, nearest I got was $172
