Engine: LB9, LS1
Transmission: 700R4, T56
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Posi, 4.10 Posi
Cadillac head unit in 87 T/A?
I have a Delco head unit out of a '90s Cadillac. I'm looking to swap it into my 87 Trans Am.
I've heard that GM switched harnesses in 88 or 89, and that this newer one will need an adapter. Is this the case with these two? If so, where can I get one. Also, will I need any extra wiring?
Thanks in advance for any help. I really have zero experience when it comes to audio equipment.

yep,cut the radio plugs out of the '91 cadi and splice
them to the original T/A wiring or if you don't want to
hack that up,get an aftermarket adaptor plug and
splice the cadi plugs to that-antenna plug may be
different too,but adaptors should be avalible.

Well after looking around on Ebay a little bit, I found an adapter that makes the newer radios plug and play. I'm glad because it was only $25 bucks, and I wasn't looking forward to splicing wires together from a diagram.
