Amp Power Wire Hookup Help

Amp Power Wire Hookup Help

So I'm really getting mad but I need to hook up the amp power wire to my batter on my 1990 Pontiac Firebird and can not get the bolt to tighten down. Someone please help!

It's a real pain getting a power wire behind the side terminal. You only have so much room. What I did was bought a cheap terminal for the top post and ran the power wire off of it. I don't know if your battery has top and side terminals though....

No it just has side terminals...

They make a bolt to do this with - available at any auto parts store in the battery section - it replaces the bolt in your battery cable, but has another threaded section at the top with another nut to attach an eyelet cable end (the amp wire needs an eyelet crimped on it.

hay man i been there if you havent got it yet auto zone has a batery terminal you take out tha old one and it has 2 sides so can put tha bat lead on then your amp wire on tha back side tha you are good to go
