We'll for all the metal & hair metal rock kats.. Sorry to not add to your collection! lol!
I was exposed to and grew up as Hip-Hop did... So i'm a head first an foremost due to growin' up in N.Y.C..
So currently it's,
Large Professor - All albums
DJ Premier - Basically almost anything produced...
Pete Rock & CL Smooth - Main Ingredient
Blaq Poet - The Blaqprint
Mary J. - My Life, 411
But when I want somethin' more funky
James Brown
Muddy Waters
But don't get it confused folks... I'm well rounded! I got
Frank Zappa
Van Halen (DLR era)
Aerosmith
C. Clearwater
AC/DC
etc...
My radio has a USB connect.. So I have an external harddrive with over 20,000 tracks stored... So there's plenty of music for any mood in tha car!

The Libertines, the Kasier Chiefs and Be Your Own Pet (Jemina Pearl's old band). All knockouts, with only the latter banging any heads. Oh, and The Thrills. I'm anxious to hear Orianthi who's hyped as a guitar goddess--yeah, baby--and Findlay Brown.

Well I am the only person on here so far who likes Christian Rock. Newsboys, David Crowder Band, Third Day, Casting Crowns. But I do like Yes and have a bunch of their music. I love all their 20 minute long songs. I also like Rush and Pink Floyd. I cant wait to listen to my music in my Z/28.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Well, between being a drummer and growing up in the 70's it was always Led Zeppelin, RUSH, Areosmith, Ted Nugent, AC/DC (Bon Scott Era), and then I started getting into the heavier stuff like Black Sabbath and Judus Priest.
Then in the 80's it was Van Halen, AC/DC (Back in Black), Scorpions, Metallica, Megadeath, Motley Crue, Tesla, Black Crows, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, etc...etc...
Then living in Seattle in the 90's it was all about the Grunge - Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone. Then I really got into Godsmack, Pantera, Korn, Tool, Avenged Seven Fold, Disturbed, bands like that. (Just picked up "The Oracle")
Now at the age of 43/44......I listen to it all. Well, what I mean by that is.....I listen to all of the above. If I'm in an angry mood I'll through in some Godsmack or Pantera. If I'm in a mellow mood I'll play some Zeppelin or SRV.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Hard to believe, especially if you knew me aswell, but I listen to mostly trance, hardstyle, and techno. I still listen to a great deal of 60/70's rock, german screamo, and today's pop. I also listen to some rap, but only a few like Kid Cudi and Drake. I even listen to some classical music, like symphonies. The only thing I can't stand listening to is country, sorry for the people that are into that.

I was listening to Taproot, Deftones, Breaking Benjamin, KoRn, Chevelle and Slipknot. Ever since I cut my exhaust off I've been listening to the sweet sound of american muscle. I'd like to listen to something else but the cars so loud its nearly impossable to hear anything without going deaf first!!

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
I think System of a Down Toxicity has been in my cd player for weeks which I listen to 30 minutes each way to work. Maybe it's time for a switch?
After I get to work it's usually HardRadio.com in iTunes while I spend my time in my little cube programming. They play 80s-90s heavy metal.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
In the TA i was last listening to Take it out on me by bullet for my valentine, Been listening to lacuna coil heavens a lie, unspoken some good lacuna coil songs also listening to disturbed, limp bizkit, chevellesongs such as brianic, Vitamin R letter from a thief, humanoid, straight jacket fasion, saferwaters so many. I cant get into rap anymore, like i cant STAND it anymore for some reason, rock was always my first passion for music and then in high school i had to listen to rap with my buddies so i fit into the popular crowd. But Anything rock or metal that talks to me and something i can relate to is what i listen to.

I guess that I am certainly in the minoraty here. Only saw one post that I'm in agreement with. The radio seldem gets turned on in the Camaro. I like hearing the sounds of the exhaust and the other sounds going on around me. In my convert, I haven't had a working radio for the last 6 or 8 years. We took a 2,500 mile trip in it a couple of years ago and didn't miss it at all. Call me weird I guess.

I like the heaviest most brutal metal I can find. But when my girlfriend ( what I listen to gives her nightmares) and our son ( i am playing big band/swing for him a lot right now) are with me I play what ever our son might start bouncing to. He is starting to get into metal and she likes R&B, she is a woman of color, so I guess it is her thing. But slowly I am getting her in to heavy music.

You headbangers may enjoy Saliva (Greatest Hits), but the group wasn't my cup of tea. Currently, I'm rockin to Neon Trees (Habits). "Your Surrender" and "1983" are standouts, I think. If you're into percussion, try Sly & Robbie (Mambo Taxi).

Cruise around listening to Link Wray (learn where the guitar heroes found their chops) and those power chords will rock your world. Though not particularly an in-car listen, She and Him is bright, bouncy, infectious jump-back-to-the-60's pop. And Zooey (yes, that Zooey) isn't hard on the eyes either.
