Beat what?
IMO you'd have been better off putting an empty cat food can in the passenger seat and whacking on it with a rotten stick.
The deck looks cool, I hope it lasts longer than those subs will. If not, make sure you keep that wal-mart receipt.

Are you seriously trying to come on here bragging about a Wal-Mart sound system? (Wait let me re-phrase that, as I have actually bought quite a few head units from there, but they were Pioneer, Sony, JVC, and were actually pretty good for the money)
Are you seriously trying to come on here bragging about a cheapest that Wal-Mart has sound system? And neons?

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
i dont think that the stereo is bad, but all the other stuff is stupid. the only reason i had a aftermarket stereo in my camaro was because my stock one is broken and i had one sitting around. but it looks like junk. im going to have it proffesionally installed this spring and hopefully it will look better

Do the car how you want Floyd. Pay no attention to the guys. There are plenty of opinions on what a perfect thirdgen looks like. I like stock and don't have any aftermarket items, but respect a guy like you that comes to a site wanting to see other peoples stereo systems because thats something you are in to. Just work on tact.

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
IMHO, if you wanna do that stuff - buy a maxima. There are plenty of cars on this board that would "beat" yours, at the track.
That said, I have seen maybe 2 or 3 cars on here that Underglow Neon's look good. Usually, it is a rice thing. However, it can look ok on the right car. It needs to be a GFX car, z28 or TA or the like, and it needs to have really catchy paint that shines, and it needs to have 18" rims, with dropzone or sportline springs.

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
im going to be getting a new headunit. and it will have a screen but not that big! screen that is already built it. one of the 2.5" - 3" screens or whatever.
i think it be kinda kool to have some classic rock music videos playing in the background. but thats as far as i would go. and i think the 12" subs are abit much. but thats just me. i would go with 10" maybe you should get a photo of the subs so we can see how you installed them in the car.
but with that big dvd screen that you probably will never use unless your in a parking lot waiting for someone for an hour or so. then maybe. but driving youll rreally never use it. its rather pointless to me to have a 7" screen.
but thats how i see it. not saying your car is bad or anything.

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
I put out 125db with 2 12" alpine "S" series subs at 2 ohms, I also have 4, 6.5"
rockford fosgate 3 way speakers and an alpine cda9856 head unit and I don't think that I could have spent my money any better.(in my jeep) 84transam383 I do not think that you spent your money wisely on your 2000 watt system. By the way did I mention it is only producing 375 actual watts with a mono amp turned 1/2 way up. It is also the cleanest sounding system I heard without sound deadening and it only cost me $800.

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
Please tell me your not talking about the the $150 12" dual subs in that plexyglass box with the one blue neon. I mean come on if your younger and its your first system glad you started playing with it they can be fun!! But you will out grow that system quickly, the sound quality is horrible. I grew out off the *****/sub system thing after having the car totaled and getting hearing loss (you will expirence ringing sensations if you do it to much my ears have finally healed mostly i forewarn you!!!) and yes that system can be easily beat. I had a phaslinear 7" touchscreen, 2 12" mtx thunder 5500s and 2 10" 5500s in the trunk, plus infinity perfect front speakers, and diamond audio 6x9s. all powered with 1 mephis monster and a 4channel amp w/ cross over for the rest of the speakers. That pounded 10x what your system does and it was clear if you kept the volume at and audible decibel level. Also something to think about i; sold off most of my system before i got into a car accident but when i got hit i had to fight like hell to get my 2 10's and my amps covered. Don't rip this guy to pieces (although floyd you kinda asked for it the way you worded your title) to each his own. You live and grow good luck with your car..

Re: Can Anyone Beat this
I think that stuff is stupid in a Camaro. I bought a Kenwood deck getting speakers and I might put a 12 inch sub in it. Still debating. A flip up moniter imo is stupid in a Camaro, so isnt neons. I agree with just about everyone here do that to a *****.
Plus Id rather just here the nice sound of the car.
