alpine m650
I had a alpine v12 t757 years ago. it was a great amp. I was running a single 10" infinity kappa perfect. I am getting another 10" kappa perfect along with a new alpine mrp m650 amp, 400 RMS into 4 ohms. I was wondering about THD. Some sites including alpine's claim .08% THD, white others claim 1% THD. What's with the difference? I was very pleased with the 757 and am looking for that same quality of sound. I know some of you will say 1 10" is a waste, but I'm not into EXTREME bass as some of you may be, the one 10" will be perfect for me. Can anyone give me a heads up on the THD issue?
Thanks, Matt

That 650 is no where near what that 757 was. If the Alpine site has 0.08% that what I'd go with. I'll check the manual tomorrow, if I remember. I would NEVER say one 10' is a wast, if done right.

Thanks NEEDAZ. I am getting the Kappa perfect, havent got the amp yet. Is that Alpine m650 a good compliment for that speaker? I am not a car audio god, but am all about sound quality. any amp recomendations apprecialed. I was looking around and it seems the Kicker ZX750.1 is a decent product as well. any advise, otherwise i'm gonna go with the m650.
Thanks, Matt

IMHO pick up an old school Phoenix Gold like the MS275, M44 or something around that era, probably the best amps ever made, I have an M44 pushing 2 6x9 alpines, 2 3.5 alpines in the front and two 10" subs and even with it turned all the way down it hits like a mack truck.
