I got a 3rd gen mount from HUMOUNT.com! Its awsome! I will have pics next weekend....camera leaves with folks for spring break.
It has the Camaro text and Chevrolet below that. Lights up and all. Very nice craftsmanship.

Its done....finally
Havent been able to get a camera to take pic because of parents taking it with them for Spring Break, and i also had surgery last thursday.
So now i got it in. It a wonderful piece but be careful not to scratch it, when you do it goes to the metal. You need to trim the heater ducts and the stock mount to get it to go in. I would recommend washers around the screws you use to bolt the faceplate in too, the white plastic stuff is kinda "soft". Make sure to line up the face plate so the screws dont show too. In order to make the light come on with your headlights and dash lights i found some light bulb that was in there that the previous owner had done something with, I think it may have been the shifter light or soemthing, and i connected the wires from the faceplate to the light bulb wires. Other than that its straight forward.
Yes i do know its dirty.

hey thanks for the update and i hope everything is alright with your surgery. The install looks really good. Also is that the blue they offer cause it looks a little greenish but that just be my screen. I am pretty sure he mentioned he got it from www.humount.com all that i have seen was for 4th gens which run around 40 dollars not lit up and then thats another 20 for the lights behind the words and there is one that looks like the one he has so he prolly just got that and it fits with the trimming on some of the stuff behind the dash. I know you may not want to do it but it would be nice to see a couple of pictures to be able to see what you had to cut and how much but its cool if you dont have time or dont want to do it. thanks

Ray's face plate installation....
G'morning Ray!
We all thank you for taking the time to post the photo's. Some people are good at visualizing, but I'm definitely one of those folks who needs to see it up close and in person.
What Up with the surgery? I just had a Titanium Disc inserted in my lower spine this month, and it sure wasn't any fun. However, it's giving me more time to research fun items like this trim plate. Whatever it was, I hope it makes your life sweeter in the long run!
Again, thanks for sharing this with us. I like anything that brings a bit more sophistication to our Kay-maro's. I'm starting to collect really nice courtesy lights from off of Lexus's, Diamonte's, Q45's to add to the 'mood lighting' for the ladies. Nitro

Yes it is from Humount.com. I know it looks kinda greenish but it IS BLUE, a very nice blue i might add, i was a bit skeptical at first when i ordered it. I will pull it again tonight and get some pics of what i trimmed. Its gonna look kinda ratty because the guy that had it before me chopped all the wires up puttin in the stereo, i went through and pulled off all the ATHLETIC tape and electrical tape and crimped them all. He DOES have them for 3rd gens, i just sent him an email and he said he would get it to me for 50% off if i sent pics and all. He has the same ones i have on here.
Surgery was pretty much what got me my car to begin with. Got rearended in one of my trucks and cut my ear off. Yes...i said off. They sewed it back on and i got reconstructive surgery and im getting crazy insurance money, any take a guess where its going........if you said the Camaro you are right. Since the accident i have not been back to the truck scene.

Ears and Hearing....
My Dad has both ears and has YET to hear a damn word I've ever said!
Scars are manly-man, especially if they're cool scars like yours. Women love to touch those things.....(See what I mean? He's already got a hicky and probably got even more than that)
However, it had/has to hurt like holy hell. Thanks for putting up with us; Nitro

Ok, I did just go back and look again, even though I was pretty sure I looked thoroughly the first time. Here is a link to the page he hs for Pontiac products:
http://maptechenterprises.netfirms.c...6e51630dcc259a
The only Firebirds listed are the 4th Gens.
Does his e-mail contain a part number for a thirdgen plate?

Third gen camaro mount.
Scroll to the bottom and change the year to 1982-1992:
