JVC head unit -impressed-
Ok, I always , and I mean always have been a Pioneer man. Ever since back in the day when I was up camping and could get local stations with the super tuner III auto reverse hehe.
Anyhow I know what to expect fromt hem, and they havent let me down (also no skippig when off road)
So I recently sold my 96 nissan Hardbody in search for a full size truck.
I got a good deal on the trade in, but as part of the deal I had to leave my trusty Pioneer behind.
So what's a guy to do who just spent his cash on a new rig?
I bought a used JVC from a friend for $50 I wasn't really pleased with the idea of JVC going into my truck but hey, it was all i could afford.
After installing the thing I was wow impressed. This thing has the CD text and yadda yadda but the cool feature I found is that it has a sub out built in , as well as front and rear RCA's
I have a fosgate amp, and two kenwood tornado 12's in the back, and then pioneer 4x6's up front, with the cheese of cheese jensen amp for 'em
For a slap together system on a budget the subwoofer control is on the deck and easily accesible it just plain rocks. It doesn't skip, sounds good, displays all the usual CD info, has a remote, and cd changer hook up , I also love the ATT where it turns the system down so you don't get the $447 noise ticket too.
Anyhow for all you guys who want the high end features, but can't afford the Alpine deck, take a look at this thing.
Back in the day I swore I would never let JVC make it past the bed of the truck, my opinon has changed.

I used to have a deck like that, i think it was the year before that model... but it was pretty good, was only like $130 new... then it got stolen, now ive got a panasonic one thas pretty good, cept the rear preouts are toast, so im using my front preouts for my rears, so i got no fader control... i think im gonna get an alpine deck, i can get em for cheap, and they r really nice(tho not the best looking).

i'm sure you've heard jim praise his and maybe even heard me as well. jvc digifine series is unbelievable. looks good, many features, and great price. i believe jim has the same deck as i, the sh-909. i think i may have beaten him on price though. crutchfield had a sale on these models to make room for the new year's stuff, so i picked mine up for $240 (when they normally went for 300-400). plays mp3s (cause i dont want to carry around 100 when i can get cd quality on around a dozen), 3 sets of 4v outs, 2 sets of aux inputs, and quite a few decent settings (like 7 band eq, internal amp disable, and i believe crossovers). mp3 was my biggest thing, seeing i dont mind getting a few mp3 cds stolen (dont need another big money and music theft)

I gotta agree with you on the att button. I learned the hard way before i knew what it was accept noise ordinance tickets out here are only 350$$ i've had 3 lol. I'm running a 250 watt jensen amp through 2 mtx thunder 4k 12" and its loud i learned the hard way again and again
