My first sound Off
This last Saterday I participated in my first sound off at the Oriley"s First annual Car show in Skiatook, Ok. My first run I got a 129.0 Db, and on my second run I got a 130.7 Db. I am running a Kicker L7 12 on a KX500.3 amp. I also got 2nd in the New Car Unmodified catagory and my brother's 2001 SS got 1st. Just wanted to share my good news. What are your best Db at a sound off. Thanks everyone

I just hit 139.7 this weekend. I was very dissappointed. I have 3000W pushing two Audiobahn AW1208Q's. The box is in the back seat because it take 6 cubic feet for them. I am going to build me a new box before the next competition and see if it make a big difference.
Nice job on your first try.

It's where you pause the cd player and then just unpause it, and repause it. You just have one quick burst of output. Your output is strongest initially due to the caps in the amp and any external caps you may have in your system. Once that power reserve drains, your output will diminish unless your charging system is capable of supplying enough current to supply the peak demands of your amp(s).
