Which sub to get L5 or L7?

I just got my Kicker KX550.3 amp for X-mas and now I'm looking for which sub to get. I am trying to figure out which to get a Kicker Solo-Baric 12" L7 or a Kicker Solo-Baric 15" L5 . They are
each $349.99 in Crutchfield. I'm not for sure which one would be a better way to go. If there is a diffrence in sound between the L7 and L5 or if you have or have heard them before. I could use some input on what you all think is a better route for my amp and car.

With the power you have, the 550.3 will do 400+ mono watts, do a smaller L710" or a 12" L5...the L5 will work better with lower power, but 400 watts will really work the L710" nice....

also nice to see another Okie around...check our website for the box specs..

later!

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with the L5 12" from all the reviews I have read and from everyones advice. Thanks for the help. It is good to know there is someone in Oklahoma on the boards. Polecat do you know of any place in Tulsa or anywhere near hear that sells Kicker. Because Car Toys in Tusla isn't carring them anymore.

Car: 82' Z28 IROC Clone (SOLD)
Engine: 355
Transmission: Built TH-350
Axle/Gears: 3.73 Moser 12 bolt
ONly thing you have to watch out for on any of those is Space...If you don't know what your doing you'll be screwed...The boxes have to be built Exactly to specs or you will never get the sound you want. Plus these specs on boxes for 10 and 12 L7s are HUGE. Maybe not the best for a thirdgen...If you are around $300 range they got brand new W7 12s on ebay for $400, That will kick anything...They hit HARD

On the 12's, you can do as small as 1.75 ported per driver...not to big by most woofer's standards in a ported application....
