a few sub/amp questions

i just got 2 10inch rockford subs for chirstmas. now i have to build the box and everything. i'm wondering about how much does 3/4 inch MDF cost compared to just regular ply wood, i'm not looking to buy ply wood, i'm just wondering how much toe xpect to pay. ummmm i'm going to need a new amp too, so what would you guys recommend? 2 channel, single channel? the subs are rated at 200W... and i have 2 other speakers (6X9's) to run off of them, each of those are 75W. what would be a good amp to power all of this nicely? i really dont want to spend much, i just need the power. thanks alot

3/4 in. mdf will cost about $15-$20 a sheet at Menards or any lumber store. If you are just looking for an amp to power your subs cheaply, I recomend a kenwood class D PS400m amp. It's available on ebay for about $200-300. It's a mono amp (1 channel) but it's 1 ohm stable (you can really run four channels if they are run in parrallel. I've used this amp in 5 separate installs and I love the bass it produces. If you want something that will run all of your speakers I can look into it and get back to you.

runing them parallel means runing more than one sub out of one channel right? all i would need is about 600w of power for the 2 subs... and thats max power. thanks alot

Yes, parrell is running more than one sub off one channel. Each sub you add will cut resistance in half and will effectively up your power from the amp. Those subs should be fine run this way.
