Anyone looking for a convertible shell?

I picked up a 1991 Z/28 convertible shell. Car has been stripped to nothing. Would be good for someone who has a Camaro or Firebird that has been wrapped around a tree. Good for a 1988 - 1992 Camaro or Firebird. Shell is in great shape. Red in colour.

Everything is gone off this shell and I mean everything so don't ask if it still has this or that. The answer will be no.

$2,000 CDN

Geeze, since I'm replacing just about every single 'decent-but-not-quite-good-enough' part on my '89, something like that vert shell would be perfect...but $2000? I know finding anything without rust in Ontario is tough...anyhow...if you ever get desperate for a quick $500, let me know :P Otherwise, I wish you luck selling it.

Thanks but price is firm. Try finding one. I will just rebuild it with a wrecked car if nobody wants it. I understand that some people think that my price is expensive but they obviously have never had to get a car with structural damage repaired in a body shop before.

I don't doubt that it's worth it...after spending thousands replacing quarter panels, doors, the rear panel, wheel houses and floor pans, something like this would have been more economical (sentimental attachments will kill you). It's as you say though--convincing people to spend that much on a bare shell will be difficult. I'd love to have a second third gen to build with the leftovers, but I really need to finish the first before spending that kind of money on something else. You've got a hard to find shell that I'm sure is exactly what someone is looking for, so eventually, it'll sell...sorry about my last post, I didn't mean to lowball. Whatever you do with it and however much you sell it for, make sure it gets used and doesn't end up rotted or in a scrap yard--nice third gens are too hard to find around here!

Thanks Resto!

A lot of people just don't realize how rare a clean 3rd gen shell is whether it is a coupe or 'vert. Don't ya just love these 3rd gens though?

I actually had a 91 Vert shell like yours for parts a year ago, except it had front fenders, engine, tranny and rear end (posi drum), no interior and I picked it up for $1200.

I just got an '88 IROC convertible for $2300. Needs interior work and paint, but it is solid and runs great.
