hey cheesx, what rad did u get in your car again and how much was it? I need a new one, not sure if i need one that big hehe, but might aswell check into it... thnx
#152
lol, I don't know of any street car that needs a rad that big. It's the 31" x 19" Griffin 2 row universal with 1.25" wide tubes. It costs around $300 US new. I got it on ebay for $170
There's a more normal Griffin universal thats around $180 that lots of people use and fits without having to get out the hammer. It has 1" tubes.
There's also a direct fit Griffin but its like $500.
The Be-cool rads are more for looks and I've heard of people having problems with them.
I still have the core from my stock rad, it worked ok except the side tanks kept cracking. Wouldn't use it for a high HP car. The core is 1"

i washed my engine on saturday and every day since then things are slowing screwing up in my car. first it was 3 fuses that blew, 2nd day my car seems to continue running after i turn it off and take the key out(quite nicely too) and 3rd, wich is today my freaking turn signals dont work..... the stupid thing is i took all kinds of saftey measures, like covering the carb and distributor with a plastic bag, and the battery, avoiding all relays and stuff... all i really did was spray the intake manifold and engine block with engine degreaser and water......

When I first got the car I pressure washed the engine bay, mostly to get some crud off the radiator... to find out if there was a leak... at a car wash thingy.....
didn't take any precautions... so I think you're just unlucky....

Speaking of which, would you or anyone else be interested in a shop that does strictly electrical work? I see problems like this all the time. It costs a fortune to pay $50/hr to have Joe Shmoe at the shop look around just to tell you " I dunno". Any takers?

well guys...I kinda have some good news. I talked to my buddy who runs a do everything shop and he tells me he should be getting a dyno for his shop in the next week or two. Maybe we all could get down there one day and each have a go. Anyways I will keep you all informed. If anyone needs weld in sub frames give him a call. Shane at SNKs Race It at 604-274-5825 and tell him Kris sent you. Later

think of it as a cheap smoke screen
I know what it's like, I puked the front pan seal on my 355 and managed a few miles of smoke before I could get it settled
poured out the front and the airflow at 160 slimed it back along the sides of the pan and from there it sprayed against my header collectors,
the ****tiest part was the spray up the passengers side of the car ON PRIMER, had to sand, degrease and reprime.

Unca Schultzy here, we are aware that we need to spread out our major gatherings. I have been working with Mikey (Cheezx) and Dan (z28redline) to set up a gathering up north. We are putting together a Cascade Crew calendar with major and local gathering dates. Right now, we are planning a BC gathering next year, July 25-27 to coincide with the Molson Indy race. Sounds fun eh?
Also, dates for mini-meets in Canada and just across the border will be forthcoming.
I hear that you had a great TGO gathering up there not too long ago and lots of nice thirdgens. Sorry that I missed it. I was up for a gathering about a year ago and made some new friends.
Anyway, hopefully by planning well in advance we can get some interesting activities going with the gatherings as well as the requisite beer drinking and bench racing.
Thanks for letting the Yank chime in.
Cheers!

Nice pics. It's not a total loss that I missed it, because my Maro's nothing to look at... yet. And it's only a V6, but eventually it will be something I wanna show off. I'm just too damned busy. I'm in my 4th year at UBC and I can't work on my car at my apartment.

lol! yes, I am the 3rd member of the Hunter Motorsports team. I think Chickenman is giving me too much credit when it comes to my "ratings"
Bristol: I saw your Camaro parked today, but didn't get a chance to oogle it. Yes, I did talk to Daniel today and I should've trotted over to Audi at lunch, but didn't know if you would be busy.

Well, I'm not one of your buddies, because I don't know anyone else with a camaro. So is it and I-4 or not, you've now thoroughly confused me.
Where did you go, or are you going, to school? I went to Centennial, graduated 2000.
