1985 Z28 with 12k miles. MINT!!!
Selling a 1985 Z28 with 12,006 miles on it. It's a TPI 305, t-top car, drum rear brakes, open diff, 3.23 rear gears. The car is literally flawless. Just picked up from its 82 year old ORIGINAL OWNER! The car has never been wet. The man said that the car has only been wiped down over its entire life, and has never even been washed with water! It's wearing its original Goodyear Eagle GT tires, and they are in AWESOME shape. The wheels have never been removed. There's not a single mark on any of the lug nuts. There is 1 TINY stone chip on the hood, otherwise the paint is flawless. The floor mats look like brand new. The driver's mat was wrapped in plastic. Have the original window sticker, build sheet, etc. The car is impeccable. The entire interior, bottom of the car, etc look as close to new as you can get. It has crank windows, manual seat, rear cargo shade, AC that has never been converted to R134A, original EVERYTHING but the battery. Has an Audiovox alarm. You will absolutely NOT be disappointed!!!
Asking $26,900 Car is located in Lohrville, IA.

Incredible car, Darin! Good luck with the sale!!
Have you thought about putting it on bringatrailer? I think it would do really well on there.

Wow! That has to be the nicest (by far) Copper or "Russet" interior I've ever seen!

Woow !! Thats one of my favorite color schemes. It reminds me of an Atari colors, my favorite colors from video games.
If I could bottle that color I would put it on a window sill somewhere and wake up every morning to it

We bought it from him (his son in law sold the car for him) with the intention of flipping. The car wasn't cheap, though. We thought there'd probably be a couple things here or there that would need addressed....but surprisingly, there isn't a single thing that it needs.

Lol who cares if it got rained on? Its a car not a boat. Wait.... I did that wrong. Its a car not a cat? Hmm not quite right either. Its a car not a roll of paper towels! Yeah there we go, towels are useless if wet
Truthfully there is water in the air everywhere on Earth except perhaps the dry places like a desert and even then there are still some water molecules bouncing around. Even human body is constantly losing water 'insensible perspiration' is a medical/anatomy known concept, any human gets near the car and WHAM its being hit with water. Not to mention the byproduct of combustion is... mostly water and CO2! SO yeah, start the engine = water going into the air and engine bay and all over the place. Gasoline literally turns to water(& CO2) when its burnt just like paper and anything else that can burn.

Yeah I was pretty skeptical about his claim, too. But there is absolutely zero evidence of water spots, anywhere. Not under the hood, not underneath the car, jambs, nooks and crannies, nothing. I actually wouldn't be surprised at all if it is in fact true.

I'd put that car on some auction sites, BAT or Hemmings maybe, and use your asking price for a starting bid. Lots of interest in the top flight third gens like that one.

I think you're leaving a lot of money on the table by not listing or showing that car on any of the major auction venues. Is there a problem with the title or something that prevents it from this? That's a $50k car on a Mecum shill TV auction. And it would sell.

There are no issues with anything at all. We were going to try to get the car to Mecum in Kansas City last month but we just couldn't get it to work out.

That just depends on what the buyer wants to do with the car. If it's sitting in a collection and being trailered to shows, they will want the original tires. Especially at shows that award by points. At least the buyer has that option.

Just saw a reported low mileage 81 Z28 on the Mecum floor go for $98K, and it had several gotchas beyond originality that the 2nd gen guys pointed out. But the word is some guy's wife fell in love with it so the shills got it way up there before pulling out.
