1992 Polo Green/Gold Camaro RS 25th Heritage Ed. For Sale
Hello All, I have been a member of this forum since 2008, mostly lurking but now I am ready to sell my car, and I figured this is a good place to start. I bought this car in college originally, circa 1999-2000, when my parents moved out of state so I could have a nice ride to go visit them from school. I originally bought it from the second owner, original owner was an elderly gentlemen who only drove it to get groceries. It had ~45k mileage when I bought it, and now has just over 70k. Most of my miles were put on in the first few years I owned the car, and mostly highway. There are some paint chips and marks on the front nose from those highway miles as well, you can see them in the sunny street picture. There is also a minor dent at the top of the passenger door just in front of the handle that was there when I bough it. The guy I bought it from, garaged it most of the time and never drove it in rain or snow. I remember him telling me how he would just hold down the blinkers, in stead of fully engaging them, so they would stay stiff and not wear out. LOL. I have garaged this car for years now, and it's never seen snow while I have had it. I have gotten caught in a few rain storms with it, but it has always been garaged during winters. At this point, this car has been garaged for a number of years and I'd really like to get it into the hands of someone that would love it, like I used to, and I just don't have the time anymore to treat her as well as I should! So the time has come to look for a buyer.... I am looking to move later this year and selling this car is the beginning of that process. I started my own business a decade ago now (can't believe how fast that decade went!) and I'm at the age where I need to start cutting back on my responsibilities. So the car needs to go to someone who will love it the way I used to when I first got it, and much in the same way that I sold my street bike, this toy is next! [SIGH] It's amazing how your priorities change as you grow older, and how quickly it happens!
My knowledge of this vehicle is limited at best at this point, I forgot more than I know about it now. It has the high output 5.0L 305 engine and Bose Gold speaker system, with the lockable "speaker trunk" in the rear. I added an aftermarket 6 disc changer with remote interface and motion car alarm. Trunk cover is original and still working. There is a picture of the build codes attached for more information. I have also attached some documents I found while researching the car a few years back. It is similar to the "Marco" restoration car also found on this site, except it's a hard body. It also has the high output 5.0L 305 TBI engine. I also put a HyperTech chip in it and added a high flow exhaust over 20 years ago.
This would be a great car to do the same type of showroom restoration to, I had visions when I bought it of doing something similar but that vision has now faded and I'd love to find someone to take care of her!
I have attached all the pictures I could currently find of the car. The pics of the car in the shadows are from summer of 2019, right after the last time I washed/waxed it and just before the last time I put it into storage. The pics of it in the sunny street, are from Sept 2020, when I took it out of storage and moved it back to my house. It has remained in my garage since on a tender.
I'm asking $13,000 for this car, it's slightly negotiable as I'm not trying to give it away. I know it's not perfect either, but it's a RARE car and still pretty clean and really deserves a better life than I've been giving it lately!

Any pics of the undercarriage? How are all of the electric components? Any tears in carpets or seats? Headliner? Dash cracks? Age of tires?

Hello Manny, I don't have any under carriage pics unfortunately, and it's winter here so I can't take the car out and get it lifted to take one. The under carriage is as clean as the rest of the car. Whenever it was on a lift, the mechanics always commented on how clean the under side of it was. The headliner actually collapsed the last time I took it out of storage, and I had a local guy here that builds old muscle cars put it back up.
There are no cracks, tears or anything in the interior. The interior of this car is absolutely mint. I still have the rugs the guy I bought it from gave me, and I'm not sure if they are original, but I still have them. Everything worked last time I had her out, windows were working although not as well as they used to (not as quick to go up). AC is weak and more than likely needs to be recharged. Tires are Kumho, they were put on about 5 years ago I think? I can get the specs off them if you'd like. Sorry I don't know all the answers, as I stated this car has been sitting in my garage for some time now as an afterthought and at this point the years are just clicking by and I can't remember what I did last week, let alone 5 or 10 years ago. LOL
I'm sure she'd love to go south and get out of the great white North!

I have same Z03 car except mine came with a 5 speed manual and a PO swapped in T56, plus has more miles and paint issues. I'm torn about building up or selling. Wish these came with the TPI 305 😪
