1986 IROC-Z, 26k miles, SUPER NICE, LOWERED PRICE
I am in charge of selling this car for my boss. It's a 1986 IROC-Z with 26k actual miles and great options. It's a 305 TPI, auto, t-tops, 4 wheel disc brakes, 3.23 gears, posi, overhead console, rear sunshade, power seat, windows and locks. It has aftermarket rear louvers and 4 tires that are like brand new. It was originally an Arizona car. I can't express enough how nice this car is. It is absolutely rust free, and so so so clean. It has a clean carfax. It has never been damaged. Original paint other than the hood and deck lid have been repainted due to cosmetic flaws. The hood and deck lid ARE the original ones. I will vouch 100% for this car, and I am more than happy to answer any questions, take more pics, etc. All that I can see that is not original, is the tires, battery, hood and hatch struts, muffler, and the upper radiator hose has been changed. The car WILL be on bringatrailer.com but I wanted to try advertising here first. He's asking $16,900 OBO.

Re: 1986 IROC-Z, 26k miles, SUPER NICE
The paint is gorgeous on this car. There are a few very small touch ups that were done by the previous owner. The wheels are OUTSTANDING. All of the decals are near perfect. The emblems are all near perfect. The headlight buckets, grille, fog lights, etc all appear close to new. This is a SUPER nice car. It also has the t-top sun shades, but the fabric on them is sagging. There is one small burn mark on the driver's side floor, and a small burn mark on the drivers seat (not a hole). Other than that, the interior is about as clean and nice as you will find. Everything works as it should. A/C blows nice and cold. No smoke at start up.

Oh, and....if anyone would like to make an offer on either of my Camaro convertibles in my signature, I would sell both of them and I would buy this 86 for myself. I love this car and I'd be THRILLED to have it in my garage

Oh man you don’t have to tell me about having money tied up in cars and then finding something else you’d like to have. My problem is I have a hard time parting with things 😂

Nice car, and the closest to condition and options to mine that I've seen, even down to the gold factory wheels and camel interior. Based on IROCs I've seen all over the interwebz this past couple of years though, I think he's about $10K too low on his asking price. Unless he's wanting to sell it quickly, comps are listed regularly for $25K and not nearly as nice as his---and with questionable originality.

Re: 1986 IROC-Z, 26k miles, SUPER NICE, LOWERED PRICE
Just lowered the price to $16,900 OBO.
I drove the car around today and it's awesome. No issues at all. Everything works. Super tight car!
I also had it up on a lift today, and the factory paint markings are still everywhere under the car....on the rear end, driveshaft, rear links, front steering components, etc. The car spent a lot of it's early life in Arizona, and it shows.

very nice car !! if he is not in a hurry he should get close to the asking price .. if you put it on bring a trailer make sure he has a reserve or it could end up selling for a lot less than expected ..

Re: 1986 IROC-Z, 26k miles, SUPER NICE, LOWERED PRICE
You have to be talking about that black 88 that sold for $7,000. That car had the wrong wheels, decals in the wrong spot, and 106k miles. The seller was bummed that it only brought that much...but I personally don't think it was worth a whole lot more than that. Maybe $8,500??
If someone would buy one of my cars, I will buy this 86. The damn thing is pretty killer.

What I want to know is where are all the Pontiacs like this? Were people too excited to drive them? 😬

thats a beauty Dagwood! Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
I used to love to hang out at the Pontiac dealer where I got my 3 ponchos back in the 80s and watch new cars get delivered. It was fun watching people get in their new car for the first time. I miss those days. All those firebirds.. I used to go look at firebirds... in my firebird at different pontiac dealerships. Just to see what they had package wise, etc.

This car is gorgeous, GLWS!
Side note, as Charlie said, the black iroc on BaT was a rental car and it sold for what it was worth. I know of a few people who wanted the black 1LE Z28 that was on there around the same time that only did $16k, but it was in Canada and there were restrictions because of covid with importing back into the US which kept the price low.

Re: 1986 IROC-Z, 26k miles, SUPER NICE, LOWERED PRICE
. I bought this car, it is exactly as described and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I was a bit nervous buying car without seeing it in person but after speaking to the owner a number of times I proceeded with the purchase. The seller is super nice guy and the car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
You got a SUPER awesome car!!! Man, I was trying every which way to figure out how I could buy that car for myself! I'm glad it made it to you ok! I know that you have some pretty big plans for it in the future, so you'll have to update us on here with what you do with it! Congrats on your purchase!!!
I had actually found that car for Joe in the first place, lol. I just couldn't swing it so I turned it over to him...and when I saw the car in person, I REALLY WANTED IT!!!!
