Hi Everyone,

Posting for a good friend. I hate to see this car go without buying it myself but I have my heart set on a GTA for my next thirdgen now having two Camaros. He has owned a handful of nice thirdgens over the last 18 years, was never without one, and is going to try a 4th gen now.

89 IROC-Z convertible, 5.0L TPI, 5-speed. I just talked to him, he said it has 13k original miles. Deluxe interior with just about all options. Most of the 13k miles were put on it by him.

Blue with a gray cloth interior, Black top, very original benchmark level car. 100% original paint, no accidents ever, no rust ever, was a southern car until it was shipped up to Mass about 6-7 years ago when he bought it. Never been driven in any foul weather and it's always garaged.

Original GoodYear Gatorback tires, original GM floor mats, no stories, just a collector owned car since day 1.

He has replaced the injectors, MAF sensor, plugs, and all fluids. The battery has been replaced too.

Like anything, if you want to use it to drive it, it should have the tires replaced, they are definitely old and are statring to dry rot. If you want to get real critical, the car does have a very small ding or two that you need to climb all over it to find, but it's really a very nice car. The top does have some wrinkles in natrually from it currently from being down, they will come out if you leave the top up. We have gone on a few reasonably lengthy cruises with our cars to car shows and fall cruises and his car has always been good to him, this car always gets a crowd around it at car shows, its the right color / option combo and was well preserved.

Thanks Mike! I hope all is well with you! I just saw your posting for your GTA again, still love your car I'f either my Vette or Malibu sell this spring, I will be in touch.

I have responded to all of the PMs and my friend who is the owner of the car I believe has been in contact with all. Lots of interest in it, I hope it goes to a good home, it's a super nice car!

God that's a sweet Z. I know our cars were know as the power robbed because of our Govt, but thats and easy fix. however you cant't deny the pure styling of the 3rd gen's. Beast styling just sitting still.

Congrats on your E-Bay posting! The car was obviously worth every dollar. I watched it until $19,990 and decided not to jump in late. I hope your buddy does well with his 4th gen purchase. I have been torn between a 3rd gen Camaro and a 5th gen Vette. Can't help myself as I am old school and w/o retractable headlights and round taillights it is not a Vette. I am going to Milwaukee on Tue to buy a 2004 C5 convertible with 5K miles on it. Glad you got a fair price and just wanted to let you know I was serious and not wasting your time. Enjoy your cars!

Thanks Mike! Yes, everything worked out well, the new owner is very excited to get the car and my friend just purchased a 2002 Ram Air 6-speed TA. Congrats of the C5 Vert! My Dad literally just sold his 99 vette 6-speed vert with 7k miles that he bought new just last weekend. It was sad to see it go. You'll enjoy it, they are great cars!
