** Sold ** 87 IROC TPI TTops 5.7 for sale
Up for sale is my 1987 Camaro IROC with stock 5.7 and 700R4, TTops, and most/all power accessories. 100k+ miles. Located in Golden / near Denver, Colorado. I am looking to get $2200. PM or e-mail.
Engine/powertrain: stock 350, factory TPI with Hypertech chip. Many fresh parts, including distributor, injectors, alternator. Runs well*. Trans shifts in/out of gear fine. Rear is 93-97 LTx era 4.11 geared with disc brakes, open or worn posi, parking brake not hooked up. Test pipe = no cat. Magnaflow cat-back. Car was running/daily driving fine until...
Cons: Has rod knock. A basic SBC rebuild should cure that. Or makes for a discounted start to a 383 project. AC compressor, condenser, and accumulator were removed. Air system removed. I do have most of these parts off my other project if you intend to put the AC or air back together. The car runs well enough to drive on/off a transport/trailer.
Body: Very straight, very rust free Colorado car. All seals are present, in good shape. Doors close solid. Car has been repainted same maroon as original. 10' paint job.
Cons: Only rust is surface of the hood due to poor paint prep and checking paint. Passenger side B pillar has cracking filler... kind of odd place for repair.
Interior: Grey customer cloth and black (carpet, headliner, door panels). Front seats could use a cleaning, drivers seat is NOT torn. Rear passenger has a cigarette burn. Otherwise, generally complete. Headliner is OK for original piece. Dash pad is cracked with fabric cover.
Stereo: Alpine head unit, 8 channel amp driving 6 speakers: 6x9 rear, in-dash, and kick panel, plus subwoofer.
Con: head unit has flakey volume ****.
Other: Power windows, power hatch release with pull down, power driver's seat, mirrors, rear defroster. Electrical is surprisingly unhacked for a 26 year old car.
Has rear Bose speakers, but amps have been replaced(?) with speakers.
All locks use the same key: doors, TTops, Bose locking shelf, rear junk box.
Includes TTop bag, but one side of zipper needs to be re-sewn to the bag.
Rear hatch struts are good, hood struts good for ~60%.
The car is a solid enough foundation that I had a hard time choosing which project to keep. In the end, I wanted a blue car.
Here are a couple pics. Let me know what else you want to see, and I will add more.

Re: 87 IROC TPI TTops 5.7 for sale
Call me crazy.. but, even with the AC compressor missing.. shouldn't the alternator be on the other side for a 5.7? Just asking.
