1985 IROC 350 Auto
I am selling my 85 IROC camaro.
i hate do do it, but right now, i just need some affordable reliable transportation.
i am going to start at 2700. the price is negotiable, and i will entertain any reasonable offers or trades.
as for trades, i am looking for a truck, like an s-10, ranger, tacoma, or something like that.
i dont want a full size truck to have to put gas in, and i would prefer a 4 banger with a 5 speed, 2 doors, 2 seats, you get the basic idea.
something small.
more pics on request

Re: 1985 IROC 350 Auto
ttt
new tranny is in and shifts great. dare i say better than before?
it goes into all gears, shifting at 2000 rpms at normal acceleration, OD takes till 2200
car has:
145 speedo
new rear tires (very grippy)
350 engine about 5-6 years old
subframe connectors professionally welded in and car checked for straightness
hawks brake pads (great pads 300% better than stock replacement pads)
newly flushed brake fluid
grant 12 or 13" steering wheel
one polished IROC wheel. (i decided to polish them but never got past the first one because the trans died and i put the car in storage)
polished intake manifold and runners
nearly complete AC delete, a delete box is still needed but thats your call lol
transmission has:
new fluid
new filter
new front and rear seals
new TV assembly (not a new cable though)
new high performance gasket
im sure there is more im forgetting but thats about all the big stuff for now

Re: 1985 IROC 350 Auto
I am very interested in the car. Is the 83,000 miles on the speedo all original? Is there any body rust?

Re: 1985 IROC 350 Auto
83,000 is only what the speedo reads.
when i got the car it had a 85 speedo, because the original 145 conked out
i replaced the 85 one with a 145.
the 85 read 53,836 when i took it out.
the car has also had 3-4 different transmissions throughout its life (PO abused the heck out of the ones he put in it)
i put a trans in it when i got it (it only had 2 speeds at the time lol)
when the one i put in it died (it was terribly built and on borrowed time from day one) i put in another one and did some minor refreshing on my own...
the car also has a new-ish motor (about 8 years old at this point)
it was done by the original owner before it was sold to the guy i bought it from.
oh, one other thing.
no rust!
the only spot that has any rust is the battery tray, but its extremely minimal...

Re: 1985 IROC 350 Auto
I know you want a truck but if you like I have an 03 mitsubishi galant 3.0 v6 with a newly rebuilt tranny less than 7000 miles ago and is a beauty on the inside and out with an infinity sound system and it is originally black and the paint job is faded but I'm repainting it black next week so if your willing to trade let me know thanks

Re: 1985 IROC 350 Auto
I've had mine since may and it's perfectly fine plus I'm also about to put new brakes and turn the rotors on it and the paint job I'm doing soon the car has nothing wrong with it at all. It's my first car and my dad owns a repair shop so we keep an eye on it and we have had no problems on it. Please let me know. I'm a third gem lover at heart and looking for my first one to start my project before I join the marines.
