line lock install issue
I installed hurst line lock control onto my camaro. the line lock works as should but now my dash brake light wont shut off. wheels free spin like they should with no hangups. is it hooked up properly? im going to drop top brake line down lower also.

Re: line lock install issue
Does it stay on all the time in general or just when using the line lock? After releasing the line lock, does a quick stiff shove of the pedal shut it off? IIRC there are only two switches that can illuminate the Brake light. Parking brake and the switch in the proportioning valve. The valve shifts based off pressure differential between circuits.
I would speculate that when you hold the pedal down, actuate the lock, then let off the pedal allowing the MC bore to return, it is sucking the slider to the front channel to fill the void of the fluid not returning. Just out of curiosity, I have never had one of these on one of my cars, does the pedal return to the top of travel while the lock is actuated or does it sit slightly down?

Re: line lock install issue
the light didn't come on till I activated the line loc. pedal returns to normal position. wheels come unlocked and roll normal. the light stays on constantly and doesn't shut off

Try giving the brake pedal a quick hard stab after releasing. I have had mine shift during bleeding or when a caliper seal went. It took a hard stab to get it to go back.

Re: line lock install issue
The last time I changed calipers, I could not get the last little bit of air out by gravity or vacuum bleeding. I had to do the two man method to get that last little bit out. However, even with a little bit of air causing a slightly soft pedal, the switch didn't move in the proportioning valve.

You have to stand on the pedal really hard with the car running to get the switch to reset.

Re: line lock install issue
Shouldn't he have installed the line lock AFTER the proportioning valve? In the line that goes to both front brakes?
Maybe I tee'd mine together, like this:
