wilwood single piston caliper vs the dual piston
I just bought a brand new set of wilwood 140-12097 calipers, for my 88 iroc, for $288.00, the dual piston would have been less than a $100.00 more. I spoke to a tech at wilwood who said for an occasional use street car, the single was the best choice. Has anyone out there used either set, and do you have any opinion on either? Also can anyone see an advantage to the dual when using the same size rotor and pad? Thanks

I have the big single piston with drilled and slotted rotors, stop way better over stock

Pads are a BP-10 high friction pad and work great, also this is the one reason I went with the big single

The front calipers with 2.50” piston provide 4.90 square inches of piston area per caliper, in order to maintain the original front to rear brake bias and use of the OE master cylinder. The D154 is also available in a two piston version with 1.62 pistons, offering 4.12 square inches of area

I have the dual piston one and it was a good upgrade. I think the car feels and stops so much better.
