quick question about swapping out front brake lines

Car: 1988 camaro sports coupe
Engine: Fast Burn 385
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt w/ 3.27 gears
quick question about swapping out front brake lines
Finishing up a brake upgrade and looking to replace my rubber with braided brake lines. My question is, does the hard line and rubber line need to be separated to remove it from the bracket holding it to the inner wheel well? I see a clip on the bottom of the bracket, but it doesn't pull out and even if it did, I don't think the connection can be removed from the bracket since it has no opening. Pretty sure it needs to be separated, which I'll try tomorrow no big deal, just wondering if I'm missing something.

Hold the hose with a wrench and use another wrench to loosen and remove the hard line from the hose. Then grab the clip (#4) on the bent edge with a side cutter, yank and and remove it. The hose can now be separated from the bracket.
Use flare nut wrenches.
