PBR'S worth the upgrade?

Hello all, I have the chance to upgrade my factory iron delco moraine calipers to PBR's just wondering if it is really worth the upgrade or not and if so is the prop valve somehow different then the one I already have since my car is already a 4 wheel disc car?

Yes, def worth it. No more parking brake issues, calipers that actually work.

Re: PBR'S worth the upgrade?

I converted to them on my second gen and they work great. Will be doing it to the IROC in the next year or two. Shouldn't need to change the prop valve since it is already 4 wheel disc.

Re: PBR'S worth the upgrade?

There are different valves for different applications: Disc/drum, disc/disc (Delco-Moraine) and disc/disc (PBR). Personally, I'd use the one designed for my braking system.

You might check the following FAQ for more info about combination valves, master cylinders and parking brake cables:

Re: PBR'S worth the upgrade?

Absolutely worth it. Even better put in an adjustable prop valve as well so you can crank up the rear braking even more to get the most out of it. Made a significant difference for me.

Re: PBR'S worth the upgrade?

Change 'em, 4 wheel disc is a misnomer with the delco iron rear calipers....more like 2 wheel disc brakes.
