Flex lines on rear axle

Car: 1990 Trans Am
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: Auto
Axle/Gears: Stock
Flex lines on rear axle

Just a quick question:
Do those hard brake lines on the rear axle going left and right have a special name?
I don't mean the rubber hose.
Same goes for those ribbed lines coming after the prop valve below the master cylinder.

They're probably ribbed for more rigidity, right?

the "ribs" are actually a guard that protects the line from damage due to rocks and what not... it just slips over the lines after they are bent bot before the last end is flared..
you can buy it at parts stores.
