need a sanity check - ls1 on 91 rs
Upgrading the brakes on a stock 91 rs, with stock 16" wheels. This is what I've come up with, but need a sanity check before i place the order. i would also need to pick up drilled/slotted 98-02 f-body rotors, and a set of c5 z06 brake calipers, along with brake fluid. Am i missing anything?

I'd recommend NOT getting drilled rotors; since those are a myth and a legend left over from days gone by, and in fact DECREASE the stopping power and the longevity of the system. The long-ago reason for doing that was long ago rendered obsolete by pad material improvements. Nowadays it primarily screams "poseur".
Apart from that, those parts will take care of it, once you modify your spindles.

That particular feature is built to SELL and IMPRESS, not to FUNCTION.
Go look at actual RACE CARS, not high-$$$ TOYS for Justin Bieber and Brittney Spears and similar deep-pocketed "experts" on automotive technology.

Drilled and slotted is actually necessary on F1, GT, etc. because they actually build up enough heat to catch normal brakes on fire. On a street car they aren't necessary, or even ideal because they reduce the surface area that the pad has available to it.

Slotted, yes; drilled, no.
Drilling is the myth that just won't die.
Drilling was originally done to allow various gasses that used to be produced by pads back in the 20th century, to escape from between the pad & rotor. Pads don't out-gas any more. Therefore drilling isn't of any value. Only reason it is still done is because people demand it; not because it actually accomplishes anything, in 2014.

You need the ls1 brake calipers, the c5 calipers will not work. If you want to use c5 calipers you will need c5 rotors and a different conversation bracket. And you will need bigger wheels to go the c5 route. Any calipers for 98-02 camaro will work.

Pretty sure you can run C5 calipers on an LS1 setup and clear 16" wheels. The calipers interchange, but you need the LS1 rotors and abutment brackets.
