Ls1 Brake upgrade FYI
I purchased a rear end out of a 2002 LS1 with only 5K miles for 200.00. Then he asked me if I wanted the front calipers, with pads, rotors, etc for 100.00 more. I bought these: LS1 Conversion Hubs and Bracket Combination – from .http://www.bigbrakeupgrade.com/ls1_parts.html. Cut my own Knuckles. Thats it. No prop valve, Booster, nothing. Mine work perfect. Please note:1-need steer stops mod. 2-Brake line Attatchments are different to body in front. 3-E-Brake cable mount is a pain. Other than that huge difference. FYI...

Do you have before and after pictures of your spindles? Or even after.
I am wondering what you had to cut.

Re: Ls1 Brake upgrade FYI
I just finished installing LS1 front brakes on mine last night. Wow, BIG difference! My stock brakes were terrible, I could barely lock up the fronts on sand. I ran new powerstop rotors and performance pads as well, so I can't say how much the new rotors and more aggressive pads affect it vs the LS1 calipers and 12" rotors, but I am pumped! I bought the same matching rotors and pads for my pre-existing LS1 rear discs, so that will allow me to see how much if any difference the rotor/pad swap makes. I've been running the LS1 rears and LS1 master now for a couple years, and now did the fronts. I should have done the fronts a long time ago!!!!!!

Sojer,
You sure the abutment bracket isn't hitting that lower bracket to spindle bolt? Usually a low profile bolt needs to be used there.

Did you fight any low pedal issues? I am trying to get my setup sorted out right now too.

The bolt was grinded down and lock tight red. I did not drive it yet. But it feels good.
