10 bolt Question

10 bolt Question

Guys, need some help with my rear end swap. Currently, my 9 bolt in my 89 iroc needs to be refurbed because it has 150k miles on it and it only does a one wheel peel. I was going to pull the cover and inspect it this Christmas but instead just got a built TG 10 bolt from another local TGO. So with my fiances tight I need to use the 9 bolt PBRs with the 11.6" rotors on this 10 bolt. I did find that Ed Miller sells brackets that work Item #DiscConvBkt

My question is why would someone use this other bracket with 12" rotors?

The only difference between the 9- and 10-bolt rear disc system is the backing plates. That said, the following should shed some light on the conversion:
