Yeah sorry guys, I will not be sharing the design. I just do not feel comfortable sharing a design that requires as much caliper modification as this does. On the plus side, I've shown how to do everything in pictures. So it shouldn't be to hard to copy.

You can call him and ask for a higher grade aluminum, well higher than the one that is advertised on their site. It's significantly more expensive though, obviously.

Just google them. It should not be hard to find. I see hellz_wings was kind enough to provide a link for you.

I would buy the Kore3 hubs and do it right. Is there a reason you don't want to do this?

Re: 2009+ CTS-V brake upgrade

87350IROC,

I am also doing this brake swap. I have been doing a ton of research and thank god I came across your thread here. In my research I found that the c6 z06 calipers and 09+ CTS-V calipers have the same mounting dimensions. Is this not true? (I am talking about where the distance between the mounting holes. I know the offset from the actual pistons are completely different on each caliper)

I also see you designed your front bracket. Doesn't the SS/CTS-V bracket fit the 09+ CTS-V calipers? Why would you design your own bracket?

Lastly, would you be willing to manufacture and sell the rear aluminum bracket you designed? I really want to run my e-brake and I'd be willing to pay top dollar for that bad boy.

Thanks for all your help and this awesome thread.

Sorry for the delay, I have been mostly away from my computer for the last 4 weeks or so.

Yes, the center to center distance of the two mounting holes on the caliper is the same. As you point out, that really doesn't help you, as every other aspect of the fitment is different.

Regarding the Camaro SS/Gen I CTS-V vs Gen II CTS-V calipers. Despite popular knowledge on web, the mounting is different between these calipers. The Gen II calipers have different length mounting lugs, one is longer than the other. So if you do install a Gen II caliper on a Gen I knuckle, it will sit slightly cockeyed. In addition, the Gen II caliper has a lot of material sticking up around the mounting lug. So just because you may have a mounting bracket for Gen I calipers, does not mean a Gen II caliper will mount up without hitting the material around the mounting lugs on the Gen II caliper.

At this time, I will not be manufacturing any rear brackets. I encourage you to give it a shot though, it really wasn't that hard. Buy the e-brake parts and it will all fall together.
