Rear PBR sliding pins

Just recently rebuilt my PBR rear calipers.
I'm just curious.....how freely to the calipers need to slide on the pins/bracket? The passenger side is silky smooth, but the drivers side is more resistant, even with the cleaning and relubing of the pins...

Did you clean the bores as well?

Re: Rear PBR sliding pins

Maybe one of the pins is bent and that would cause the drag.

Re: Rear PBR sliding pins

ManiacZ, What type of grease did you use on your pins? I recently rebuilt my rear PBR's and the kit only came with parts for the piston and no grease.

Thanks, Steve

Re: Rear PBR sliding pins

CRC synthetic brake grease for me.

If the guide pins are corroded, the pins and boots should be replaced--though if the corrosion is light, you might use some Emery cloth to clean them up.
