Post your brake upgrade pics here!
Since I've seen there's a thread for almost everything I thought we should have one for brake upgrades as well. Unless there isnone already on here. So post your brakes pics and lets see what everyone has .

It's the same as what I posted. CTS-V and 5th gen uses the same caliper (except one has the v logo and the other says camaro...same brembo casting though).

Re: Post your brake upgrade pics here!
Ed's kit uses the SS calipers and the SS rotors with the center bore enlarged. There was a thread on here about it a while ago. I'll see if I can find it.

not the greatest pic but ls1 brakes in the rear.... just barely clear the stock rims.... stopping power has greatly improved..

Re: Post your brake upgrade pics here!
Here are a few pics of my LS1 brake upgrade
The LS1 calipers dwarf the stockers!
Last pic shows where I had to grind off some of the stock steering stop mount on the inside of the stop mount. I also had to grind off some of the banjo bolt that holds the brake line to the caliper....now the spindle assembly hits the steering stop like it is supposed to.

Nothing too special and not 100% done yet, but LS1s on Formula 16" concave wheels. Spindles were done by bigbrakeupgrade.com, rest of the parts were sourced from rock auto or Amazon.
One.
Two.
Three.
Still need pads and hard lines, not to mention rear PBR calipers and pads and lines.

Re: Post your brake upgrade pics here!
Who's changing out their master/boosters for these? I have LS1 rears, C5 13" fronts and brakes still suck...I have an issue somewhere but havent gotten around to checking for it. Thinking master needs bench bled but my booster may not be 100% anymore. I cant tell.
18" C6 wheels. I need more brake to fill that gap Thinking CTSV 14" soon

Re: Post your brake upgrade pics here!
Don't think I've seen any drag brake setups here, so I'll post mine up. Wilwood dynalite, 4 piston calipers, front and rear.
Front rotors and hubs assembled and safety wired.
Spindle meet caliper and rotor
I didn't weigh the entire assembly before, but you can get the idea. The entire new assembly is lighter then just the old caliper and rotor.
And mounted up
Rerouting lines away from headers and any heat
Waiting on my rear end housing so the rear brakes aren't mounted yet, just assembled the rotors
