best way to swap drums to disk?
hi i was wondering how much a rear disk swap setup would cost including calipers. i already have stainless brake lines and a new set of brembo replacement rotors for my iroc stock disc. could i use these rotors if i swap to disc rear on my firebird?
i pm'ed this to ebmiller but i ubderstand he gets alot of pms so i figured id ask on here.
thanks alot -Chris

Re: best way to swap drums to disk?
I'm here, just busy. I wouldn't swap to the old style rear discs like your '88 and later Iroc has, it's not worth it. Go to the '89 and newer PBR style. You won't be able to use your Iroc parts you listed with the PBRs but that's the price of better braking. You can install the older discs onto your Firebird if you have all the parts but I don't stock those. If you want me to put a set together and rebuild the calipers using the recall kit (so they will work right), I can do that for you. Otherwise, a PBR disc swap onto your drum rear will run around $750-800 complete using my drum to disc backing plates.
