Best rear drum shoes?

I have any 87 TA with rear drums. I am replacing the shoe for the first time & I find not much choice in shoes. The best I have found so far are the Satisfied Brakes part #(R514).
Can anybody tell me what the best shoes are for this application?

Re: Best rear drum shoes?

theres not a best, there is personal preference

theres organics(softest and messiest/dustiest ones) and theres semi metallic ones(more high temperature resistive and lots less duty/messy but they wear the metal of the drums quicker)

if you hvae nice shiny wheels to polish then you will probably want to opt for less messy material shoes

good luck

Thanks I was hoping somebody could give me an idea on best brand. I will probably go semi-metallic. I notice there isn't a lot of choices for drums out there.

Re: Best rear drum shoes?

You won't mess your wheels no matter what material you choose with drums.

I would suggest two long shoes instead of the long and short normal ones and you might think about using the next size up wheel cylinder.
