WINDSHIELD RUBBER SEAL

Re: WINDSHIELD RUBBER SEAL
The windshield revel molding or the actual windshield (glass against the windshield frame seal)? The revel molding is available (aftermarket about $15 or so when I bought it). The windshield glass to metal seal from the factory was urethane caulk. Liberally smeared on at the factory and the glass dropped down onto it. If it is the latter, maybe a local automotive glass company should be involved to assist?

Re: WINDSHIELD RUBBER SEAL
No real need to remove the windshield to replace the reveal molding. It is snapped it place and held by whatever residual urethane squeezed out when the windshield was installed into the channel.
This is where I bought mine from:
WINDSHIELD REVEAL MOLDING 82-93 CAMARO FIREBIRD PR1211 | eBay
I haven't installed it yet; but it looks the same as the old stuff I removed.
But a warning, the windshield channel retains water. Do not be surprised if you pull the reveal molding off and find rust.

Re: WINDSHIELD RUBBER SEAL
There was a thread on this within the last year, debating what width was factory for this molding, and trying to find an aftermarket match. I even posted in that thread IIRC. But I'll be darned if I can find it....
