Glass Removal in Manual Side Mirror
My wires that adjust my driver side mirror broke. I was hoping to replace the glass from a donor car so that I wouldn't have to repaint the metal side mirror. However, I cannot get the manual adjustment portion through the hole in the bottom no matter how I move it. It's close, but too big to come out. Is there any trick to getting this cable through the bottom hole in the metal side mirror to swap out the glass and cable?

What naf said! You have to disconnect the wires from the either the side shown or the back of the glass.

back of the glass is usually safer. the wires at the toggle can get weak where the bend into the slots.
