I finally find a clean door sill seam cover, and it’s got overspray on it.

be very careful with this stuff, it is fragile, and even some mild solvents will permanently scar it. If there is paint on the back side, test a few mild cleaners starting with the mildest, like commercially available cleaners for interior plastics. when u don't know what KIND of paint has been oversprayed, it's hit an miss. you may need to sand it off and respray the parts, or have it done professionally, the sill portion is really difficult to do properly.



there are two colors that match the stock plastics very well, this one seems a better match for the re pops



..... and this one a closer match for the factory original gray panels. SEM also has all other interior matches for color.

awesome, thank you. I’ve already went after it with fantastik and a diluted mixture of our degreaser, no luck. What about scotch Bright sos pads or steel wool?

those will definitely scratch, u probably have automotive paint on those, gonna be tough to remove. Always try a little on the inside of the part where it doesn't show, then u can see what it will do on the parts u can see.

You could use 1000 grit wet and dry sandpaper or finer and some water. that what I used and worked great. Takes a bit of time but will not damage the plastic.

Brake fluid will do the trick. Let it sit on it for a bit and it will pull the paint off.

Yup. I used it on plenty of plastic parts. Soak it a bit and it will come off. There is not much on there so it should clean up nicely.

After that a Magic Eraser (those white foam type pads primarily for kitchen use) should help remove whatever remains without scratching. Definitely stay away from solvents, they'll whiten the plastic super quick.
