Crunch !

Saw this on my local Craigslist .

Question #1 , body experts , could this be put back together ?

And question #2 , what could possibly make this worth $4100 in it's present condition ?

Re: Crunch !

That's going to be a Parts car. Especially with the salvage title. If you got it for 500 you might break even.

Re: Crunch !

Total loss car. Front end damage like that always transfer back into the passenger compartment. The roof goes up and the floors go down. Not worth the work in trying to repair it. Better to use it as a swap car ( take it apart and swap into a good chassis)

She's had some serious weight reduction up front, looks like it was a real professional job. That kinda stuff isn't done cheap. Wonder what the guy hit?

Re: Crunch !

Anything can be fixed but this car isn't even close to being worth what it would cost

"Brakes done last week"

I'd probably have a chat with whomever did that work. Wow.

Re: Crunch !

Car is being sold as a GTA with no emblems (though I think I see one on the sail panel in one of the pics) and Trans Am vented fenders. Perhaps the guy has an extra zero in the price he is asking, either that or he was smoking some really good stuff when he posted that ad...

Re: Crunch !

The wheels look OK. Edelbrock runners. Headers. 350 engine. Should be a 9 bolt. Might have 3.27 gears, PBR discs, dual cats, etc. Tail lights look nice, can't see any obvious damage to the spoiler. Tan leather interior may be OK. C&C ttops. Probably not worth $4000, but to someone with a base model looking to do a remodel, it'd be a lot of potentially nice parts in a single package. Parted out it'd be well over $2000 by the time you add it all up at Ebay prices.

I know , isn't it funny how many try that BS , my favorite line of car seller BS is of course the ol "It's got a 350 out of a Vette !" , If even only 10% of them weren't BSing there would be NO Corvettes left driving on the streets cause their engines would all be in some clapped out hooptie , going for $4100 cause the owner is just that clueless .
