Wiper plastic stops

Does anyone know what those wiper stops under the windshield are called? They also serve to support the windshield during instalation I think.

Any ideas where to buy them from?

Re: Wiper plastic stops

The windshield is actually supported during install by small rubber blocks about 1/4" thick that sit on top of two stamped wedges below the windshield. To date I've never seen a glass repair guy reuse them, but they're there from the factory.

Ebay, or junkyard.

I am assuming you are referring to these? These are what I need as I have one missing.

Re: Wiper plastic stops

That would be the wiper arm parking stop, but the rubber install blocks are gone in that photo. The rubber shrinks a bit with age and the blocks fall out easily enough. The support for them is obvious if you know what you're looking at...

The wiper stop just keeps the wiper from sliding off the bottom of the windshield in park.

Do you know where I can find the wiper stops? I guess there should be two of them no?

With the slight nitpick that the driver's stop is molded into the cowl screen.

Re: Wiper plastic stops

Ahh so there should be only 1... Then I don't have anything missing. The cowl screen is not installed and I couldn't figure out why there was only one.

Thanks guys

Re: Wiper plastic stops

In Malta you prob don't need it, but the screen is important if the car is parked anywhere with trees. Leaves and needles get in there, trap water then the firewall rust from inside out. Kills a lot of f bodies.
