Replacement for T-Top Channel Edge?
Hi all,
I have a 1984 Trans Am. The plastic edging on the T-Tops is cracked and breaking off at the front, inner corners of both T-Tops. These pieces are part numbers 20192915 (front) and 20192546 (center) from GM. They aren't being made any more and the only NOS pieces I found were $50 per piece.
Does anyone know another place to get these or an alternate plastic channel that could be used and is more affordable?
I'm including some pictures - with a red line to highlight the strips I'm talking about.
Thanks - any help or hints is appreciated!

Re: Replacement for T-Top Channel Edge?
That's going to be a tough one as I don't think they used the perimeter trim past '84. I always thought it was dumb that they stopped using them, it's the only thing you can grab that's not 300 degrees in the Summer. Oddly enough they put huge ones on the 4th gens, and also all glass t-top Corvettes before then. If someone finds a source with a reasonable price, I wouldn't mind retrofitting them onto my '91.

I have same issue and am researching now. Looking at plastic channel sized to fit and also door edge protection- plastic material glued on.
Will check back how it goes and what I use.
