how good are the new production outer door sweep kits

I need to replace the outer door sweeps on the car. How well do the new aftermarket ones fit? I think thridgenranch, and hawks have kits for about $100. I just dont want to buy junk. Aftermarket parts are not known for fitting that well.

I can't speak on the reproduction parts, but I did the 4th gen sweep mod, and it looks much better. ...and nicer on your arm if it's hangin out the window!

I bought and installed a pair from 1A Auto. The fit was nice and it looks great. There was one hole I had to re-drill because it didn't quite line up, but I am not sure if this was just my car.

It looks like they went up in price though. I purchased mine on 3/4/15 and paid $75.40, now they are $92.95!!

Got two pair from 1A Auto for the '84 & '87. Like FBFan, had to redrill one hole on one of the cars, don't remember which one. Otherwise fit great and seal well.

I have never heard of the 4th gen sweep mod. My car was painted and they masked the sweep so I have a paint edge along the door now. Are the 4th gen sweeps deeper where they will cover the paint edge? Im curious about this now

Yeah, Bradley did a nice write up. ....I added my input on page 2. Just occurred to me after looking over it that I don't have a plain, good ole finished product shot. Just pics of the work! ...lemme see if I can't find one when I get home later!!!
