Has anyone removed this front engine panel?
On my new bird I have two questions on the engine bay. First I would like to remove the front panel in the engine bay to fix some alarm-hood lock holes that the original owner had and repaint the panel. I have outlined it in green. I tried to get a light and mirror under to see if its just bolted in or part of the welded front end. Rather than take out the bolts only to find out that its part of the front end and will not come off, I thought I would ask.
Second as I look as some of your engine bays, I notice that the exterior glossy paint is carried into the walls of the bay. On mine the engine bay paint is a dull flat red. And as a side note, this is the original paint on the car, has never been repainted.
Thanks in advance,
Louis
