Paint is done!
So I ran the T/A up to my friend Rob's at RPM Autobody in Tannersville PA. We blew it apart and spent 3 days sanding and fixing all the tiny dings that comes with 25 years of existing. He sent me home and sprayed an epoxy based sealer and 2 coats of BMW Alpine White that he had lying around from a previous job. $500 for materials and $1500 for shop time and it came our AWESOME!! I am really psyched! Nicest $2k paint job I have ever seen.
Now to put the whole thing back together, iron out the kinks and have some fun.
Dang, I tried 6 times to upload a picture, kept getting an error message.
Sigh.

Thanks, I like the wheels too. You may have the 15s. TireRack sells a nice knock-off for not much $$.

Looks great.
Things change when you have a beautiful paint job like that.
I always park in "no man's land" (lost a lazy girl friend that way.)and have been known to move shopping carts that I thought were to close.
Don't forget "NO" products with wax in them for a few months. Including the cars soap that you use. Any product really.
The paint needs to breath .Solvents used it the paint process will need to "vent/dissipate".
If you put wax on it, it will lock the solvents in.
Not Good.
Ask your painter about it.

Re: Paint is done!
The wheels pictured above are the 1985-1987 16" Iroc wheels. To my knowlege they ONLY came in 16" and then they changed the Iroc wheel in 1988. The 88 and up style could be had in 15" or 16"
An amazing looking wheel to say the least, and one of the most popular designs in automotive history. It seems every auto maker has tried to copy (with their own little twist) these wheels, not to mention the NUMEROUS aftermarket copies that are made for just about every type of vehicle. The originals are still the best IMHO. If your 85-87 Iroc has something different on it, chances are they didnt come original with the car.
Great looking paint job gnilson!
