Re: headlight relocation.

You could unhook the power to the headlight motors and then just relocate the lights and mount them similar to driving lights. Shouldn't be an issue since you still have headlights, but the performance of said lights would be significantly reduced. Putting them that low would not only cut down on your adjustment range but also make you go dark anytime you came up on a steep grade.

IMO not a safe idea, but a doable one nonetheless.

Sounds like the driving lights and headlights are wired together at somepoint. Trace the wires and have a look

Re: headlight relocation.

I would suggest flush-mounted projectors that would replace the entire headlight housing, like what the RX-7 guys do, but I don't know if the hood angle of the car is too flat to do that.

Re: headlight relocation.

I have been trying to find the same typeof thing, for now I put hids in my drivinglights or fog lamps and I am debating just disconnecting the power to the headlight motorsso they will not go up or turn on. bout really sure how legal that is but I don't care for pop ups, if you think of any other ideas let me know

headlight switches get funky with time, unplug motors to make them stop.

Well I can see that, don't want everyone to have a car just like "yours" Ive gone above and beyond to have only ONE like mine out there.

But there are more simple mods, redraiff I do belive [ somethin like that, girl with the V6 Bird all decked out in red show car, got on TV once] , did similar but kept stock lids, just cut out the 2-3in high section facing forward [ next to turn signals] when closed and put skinny lights in there, so they shined from stock location but were always closed.

With the power of LED's that small area should be easy to get plenty of light from. Can still put some driving lights down low to help. I run yellow driving lights on everything.

Re: headlight relocation.

Redraiff hasn't been on the boards in forever that I can recall. I watched her thread quite a bit for a long time to follow it's progress but decided in the end to keep the pop-up lights. I just need to fit factory fog-lights...previous owner put some sorry-a$$ aftermarket crap that does't work and isn't aligned right when it does.
