Harwood 4" cowl vs. VFN Fiberglass 4" cowl.

Need help deciding on which hood to get out of the two for my 87 IROCZ Z28. I want the bolt on version but I'm not sure which one to get. The VFN is almost 100 dollars cheaper before freight charges. The VFN hood extends towards the windshield and seems to have more agressive lines. The Harwood does not come back towards the windshield and seems to be a little bit smoother. Here's a link to both.

If anyone has more pictures that would be great. Thanks ahead of time guys.

If a moderator could turn this into a vote that would be legit.

Thanks again.

i have a harwood 4inch cowl hood. fit was ok. i doubt you will see a huge difference in quality between the two. both are well know companies. so it really comes down to witch design you like better. my harwood is probably around 8-10 years old. it is starting to crack i some spots(very small).keep in mind it is a track car only. i have a vfn fiberglass dash. both of them needed some work.

Sweet. Thanks for the input. I'm now considering the Harwood 3" considering my car will spend the majority of its time on street.

Re: Harwood 4" cowl vs. VFN Fiberglass 4" cowl.

My issue with this fiberglass hood is that the driver side seems kinda warped compared to the passenger side. Need to figure out a solution or I might just replace the hood.
